Time for a crab fix! Our final leg of our whirlwind visit to the States found us in Baltimore. We had a couple of fun days visiting the inner harbor, first with Cindy & David where we had the perfect crab cake at Phillips Seafood. It is a fact that you cannot get a proper crab cake outside of Maryland. Heading straight to the source on the Chesapeake Bay, the steamed crabs were awesome at Sue Island with Judy, Marylou and Bobby.

The next trip downtown was with the kids to the Science Center, followed by a tour on the water via paddleboat. There was a lot to do for kids of all ages. The consensus was that Mark had the most fun here - you be the judge.

It was great to spend time with Kristin, Chad, Ryan and Emily before school started. Ryan is entering middle school and the upper stratosphere of height in the family, while Emily continues to thrive as both an actress and a book-worm. Watch out when Kristin & Ryan are in the kitchen!

Michele and Brian could be found in the kitchen cooking creations over a visit with Christina, Mady and Lily. The sisters are cute little rivals, as Lily tears up a streak in everything she does and Mady masters games on the iPhone, proving that kids these days are born with digital media mastery. Watch out at Yo-Gabba-Gabba time!

Speaking of kitchens, Judy just had her's redone and Michele put it through its paces during the visit, making homemade dinners of pork loin, chicken pot pie and pot roast to break in the new kitchen. Cris & Robbie stopped by one evening to join us for some good old comfort food. We made ourselves right at home with more yoga and took hikes on the trails with Joe & puggle Koko, when she wasn't chasing deer.

The best part was a great mini-reunion over the holiday weekend with extended family, too many to be named here. It was sooo cool to see everyone again ~ some much more grown than the last time, some we haven't seen in over a decade and even a few we met for the first time. How much fun!!
