Rosie had a brilliant idea to make batches of Christmas cookies this year and offered up her galley aboard Serena Ray for the cooking. Between Rosie, Jose and I, we made oatmeal raisin, Russian tea cakes, shortbread, speculaas (with koekkruiden spices) and peanut butter kiss cookies and ~ from first hand experience ~ they all tasted great!
The marina hosted a Christmas Eve dinner and potluck, where they provided the turkey and ham and the boaters brought their favorite holiday dishes from their country. The hotel & restaurant manager, Chris crafted yet another festive (!) party and it was quite the feast... he, Dylan, & Mauricio were stylin'
John & Jerie (Peking) had arrived recently and we are having fun catching up with them before they head through to the Pacific next spring. Thank goodness we're still doing yoga every morning so we can eat all of this food & cookies! I always look forward to having new people join in as they come and go to share the inspiration, stretches, workouts and meditations. Michele completed her camel & wheel poses today - no doubt the first back-bend since she was around 10 years old!
