We only had about an hour to visit San Pedro before retiring back to our hotel across the lake, so we hired a guide and two tuk-tuk's for a quick tour of the town. It was a good idea to ride up the steep hills and walk back down.
Only three passengers can fit in a tuk-tuk and the race was on!!

We took a look at the base of the San Pedro volcano (~10k feet high), which can be hiked if you have at least 5 hours and strong legs... 3 hrs up & 2 hrs down!

San Pedro is a devout Christian town where signs about Jesus are frequent.
At the center of town is a lovely church and new park with a Saint Peter statue, complete with a cock to crow thrice.
There were also painted murals about transgenic corn versus traditional farming, so there is obviously an abundant sense of external awareness in the residents here. Our stay was too short in this charming town.
Typical San Pedro scenery:
Pristine landscaping
Dried hibiscus leaves for steeping
Goalie making a save
San Pedro Locals:
