As the saying goes, you are what you eat. We are starting to grow gills here from our fish-rich diet. The fishing has been excellent and the guys have been able to explore offshore reef mounts. Permit and grouper top the menu these days.

Being away from mainland provisioning is made easier due to weekly veggie boat deliveries selling fresh fruits & vegetables. When the veggie boat becomes around less frequently in the summer, we still have our "garden" with fresh basil - which almost took over the cockpit before we harvested some for pesto - culantro, chives and a new addition: jalapeno peppers. Mung beans are also easy to sprout for a touch of green in a stir-fry or salad.





In addition to the sourdough starter that we've perpetuated since the Bahamas for making yummy bread and pancakes, Michele has taken to making fresh yoghurt and granola with a milk-based starter and oats, respectively. Who needs supermarkets?

Fresh foods and lots of exercise makes for happy and healthy bodies. Truth be told, we are very sad that our chips and nuts have run out, but as long as we have toilet paper supplies we will stay here a little longer...
