We recently had a fun spectator/photo day on the water in the San Francisco bay, watching Orion (Mod70) win the Rolex Big Boat Series races from her chase boat Betelgeuse.

Orion is skippered by her owner and crewed by many of the best sailors in the world ~
Competition in the multi-hull class included a ProSail 40 (Shadow), Extreme 40 (Smart Recruiters) & SL33 (Bridge Runner) ~
Orion is hard to keep up with when she sails in the mid-30 kt range; when foiling she powers up ~
Orion has plenty of obstacles to avoid on the bay & race course at high closing-speeds ~
She is a beauty at any angle ~
… & the San Francisco Bay scenery wasn’t too bad either!
